US media: U.S. intelligence indicates Iran is rapidly rebuilding its military capabilities, posing significant threats if bombing resumes
Odaily Planet Daily News: According to CNN, two sources familiar with U.S. intelligence assessments said that Iran has restarted some drone production during the six-week ceasefire that began in early April, indicating that Iran is rapidly rebuilding certain military capabilities damaged by U.S.-Israel strikes.
Four sources stated that U.S. intelligence shows Iran's military reconstruction is progressing much faster than initial estimates. The sources indicated that Iran's military capability rebuilding, including the replacement of missile positions, launch devices, and key weapons system production capacities destroyed in conflicts, means that if Trump resumes bombing operations, Iran would still pose a significant threat to regional allies. This also raises questions about the extent to which U.S.-Israel strikes could weaken Iran's military capabilities over the long term.
A U.S. official revealed that although the timeline for restarting production of different weapons components varies, some U.S. intelligence estimates suggest Iran could fully rebuild its drone attack capabilities within six months at the earliest. "The Iranians have already exceeded all timelines set by the intelligence community for reconstruction," the U.S. official said. (Jin Shi)
