Odaily Planet Daily News: Bitcoin News posted on X platform, citing WELT reports, that the German Ministry of Finance is drafting a tax reform proposal to impose taxes on gains from Bitcoin and other crypto assets purchased after December 31, 2026, removing the holding-period exemption. Existing holdings will remain subject to current rules, meaning proceeds from sales after a holding period of typically more than one year remain tax-free. The relevant law is planned to take effect in 2027, with the first tax withholding possibly commencing in 2028. The draft is still in its early stages and may be subject to adjustments.
