US August Nonfarm Payrolls Far Exceed Expectations, Spot Gold Drops Over $70 in Short Term

Odaily News, according to Gate data, after the release of the nonfarm payroll data, spot gold dropped over $70 in the short term, reporting at $4,405 per ounce; spot silver dropped $1.5 in the short term, reporting at $65.7 per ounce. The US Dollar Index (DXY) rose 34 points in the short term, reaching 99.36 points.
The US seasonally adjusted nonfarm payroll employment for August recorded 162,000 people, the highest since March and far exceeding the market expectation of 56,000 people.
