市场对美联储加息的预期大幅下降
The Odaily Planet Daily reports that traders now believe the probability of the Fed raising interest rates this month is essentially close to a coin flip.
According to data from the CME Group, the market is currently pricing in roughly a 50% probability of a 25-basis-point rate hike by the Fed. Just yesterday, investors had priced the likelihood of a hike at as high as 70%. Earlier, several Fed governors delivered speeches in an attempt to dispel the market's view that a rate hike was a done deal.
Fed Governor Waller just stated that if August data shows continued improvement in inflation, he would support holding interest rates steady. A day earlier, New York Fed President Williams also said that the case for a rate hike at this time was not compelling enough.
