The Odaily Planet Daily reports that on August 28, according to SoSoValue data, the cryptocurrency market saw broad gains, with the DeFi sector performing notably, rising 3.50% in 24 hours. Among them, Ethena (ENA) surged 24.66%, Jupiter (JUP) rose 10.28%, and Lighter (LIT) gained 8.45%. At the same time, Bitcoin (BTC) increased 2.22%, briefly breaking through $81,000 during trading, while Ethereum (ETH) rose 0.56%, climbing above $2,500.

It is worth noting that MAG7.ssi gained 2.55%, DEFI.ssi rose 5.72%, and MEME.ssi increased 3.11%.

In other sectors, the PayFi sector rose 3.03% in 24 hours, with Monero (XMR) up 5.33%; the Layer1 sector gained 2.76%, with Solana (SOL) climbing 6.19%; the Meme sector rose 2.29%, with OFFICIAL TRUMP (TRUMP) surging 21.43%; the Layer2 sector increased 2.12%, with Polygon (ex-MATIC) (POL) up 2.76%; and the CeFi sector gained 1.73%, with Bitget Token (BGB) rising 4.24%.

The crypto sector indices reflecting historical sector performance show that the ssiDeFi, ssiGameFi, and ssiPayFi indices rose 4.42%, 3.41%, and 3.11%, respectively.
