美国检察官要求驳回Celsius前CEO Alex Mashinsky撤销定罪并减刑的申请
The U.S. Attorney's Office for the Southern District of New York has urged a court in a filing to reject Celsius former CEO Alex Mashinsky's petition to vacate his conviction and reduce his sentence, calling his legal arguments "meritless." Mashinsky was sentenced in May 2025 to 144 months in prison, along with a $48 million fine, for commodities fraud and securities fraud. He informed the court in May that he would represent himself, and his filed motion involves allegations related to FTX and former colleague Roni Cohen-Pavon. Prosecutors noted that Mashinsky did not submit a sworn declaration supporting the relevant allegations, and requested the court to dismiss the motion without a hearing. Cohen-Pavon, having provided "substantial assistance," has already served his full sentence.
