CZ: Self-Custody Wallet Vulnerability Fixes Cannot Protect Previously Generated Wallets

Odaily Planet Daily News: Regarding the ongoing attack incidents on Coldcard wallets, Binance co-founder CZ retweeted on Platform X, stating that for self-custody wallets, developers fixing vulnerabilities cannot resolve the risks faced by previously generated wallets, and developers cannot directly contact users of air-gapped devices.

CZ stated that users' wallets may still be exposed to attack risks before taking action. He emphasized that he still supports the self-custody model, but self-custody means users need to bear more security responsibilities.
