Tether第二季度业绩转弱,超额储备减少逾40亿美元
The Odaily Planet Daily reports that Tether's financial report released on Friday shows its excess reserves decreased by $4.1 billion in the second quarter, nearly halving from the previous quarter.
As of the end of the first quarter, USDT issuer Tether stated that its assets exceeded liabilities by $8.2 billion; however, the latest data shows this figure has dropped to $4.1 billion.
The report also reveals that Tether recorded a negative financial result of $3.2 billion in the first half of this year. Given that the company reported a net profit of $1 billion in the first quarter, this implies a potential loss of over $4 billion in the second quarter.
On a year-over-year basis, Tether's performance has also clearly weakened. The company reported a net profit of $4.9 billion in the second quarter of 2025, whereas its net operating profit for the second quarter of this year stood at $1.5 billion. Net operating profit typically excludes unrealized gains or losses resulting from price fluctuations in assets such as Bitcoin and gold.
