Odaily reported that on July 2, 2026, the Nigerian Securities and Exchange Commission included GIGX Technologies and Kucoin Nigeria Limited in its Accelerated Regulatory Incubation Program (ARIP) and granted them Approval-in-Principle (AIP). The approval allows both companies to operate temporarily under SEC supervision while proceeding with full registration. The SEC stated that ARIP currently oversees a total of 9 digital asset companies, and that an approval-in-principle does not equate to full legalization or blanket authorization for all crypto platforms operating within Nigeria.
