Bitwise CIO: Strategy’s Role in the Bitcoin Market Has Fundamentally Changed

Odaily Planet Daily News Bitwise Chief Investment Officer Matt Hougan stated that Strategy's role in the Bitcoin market has undergone a fundamental change. For many years, Strategy was the core buyer of Bitcoin globally, consistently providing long demand for the market. However, this phase of one-way accumulation has likely come to an end. In the future, Strategy will flexibly buy and sell Bitcoin based on market conditions, but will not engage in large-scale sell-offs; existing mechanisms will not force Strategy to sell billions of dollars worth of Bitcoin annually. Once Bitcoin enters a bull market, Strategy will likely resume a net buying state, but its influence on the Bitcoin market in the next cycle will be lower than in the previous one.
