Domestic oil prices may see the 8th increase this year

2026-05-20 11:16

Odaily Planet Daily News At 24:00 on May 21, the window for adjusting domestic refined oil product prices will open again. According to China Business News, institutions predict that because international crude oil prices have fallen first and then risen during this adjustment cycle, the prices of refined oil products will see the 8th increase this year. According to Jinlianchuang's calculations, as of May 20, the average price of reference crude oil varieties was 105.09 USD/barrel, and it is expected that the retail price of domestic gasoline and diesel will be raised by 110 yuan/ton. Taking No. 92 gasoline as an example, the increase per liter is about 0.08 yuan. "With one working day left before the adjustment window opens, it is a high probability event that the ceiling price for refined oil products will be raised this time, with the final increase possibly exceeding 100 yuan/ton," said Wang Luqing, an analyst from Zhuochuang Information. It is expected that the increase per liter for No. 92 gasoline and No. 0 diesel will be around 0.09 yuan, and filling up a 50-liter tank of No. 92 gasoline will cost about 4.5 yuan more. Liu Bingjuan, an analyst from Longzhong Information, also predicted that at 24:00 on May 21, the domestic refined oil product price increase will be around 90 yuan/ton. For a 70-liter fuel tank, private car owners will spend about 5 yuan more to fill up their tank. (Jinshi)
