South Korea Recovers 33.9 Billion Won in Cross-Border Taxes Over Nine Months, to Receive Overseas Crypto Asset Reports Starting Next Year

Odaily reported that since the launch of a new system in July 2025, the National Tax Service of South Korea has recovered 33.9 billion won in delinquent taxes over the past nine months through cross-border tax cooperation, accounting for the majority of the total recovered through cross-border efforts since 2015.
According to reports, South Korea will begin receiving virtual asset transaction data from 56 countries next year under a new crypto asset reporting framework and plans to exchange information on overseas real estate holdings and transactions starting in 2030. (The Korea Times)
