Canada proposes to ban the use of cryptocurrencies for political donations

The bill was introduced on March 26 as part of electoral law reforms, seeking to enhance transparency, strengthen enforcement, and reduce the risk of foreign interference. It will proceed to committee review and may still be subject to amendments. Currently, no fixed review date has been set.
