Odaily News The U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) has filed a motion to dismiss CME's motion in the perpetual contract lawsuit. The motion argues that CME lacks standing in this lawsuit, citing reasons including that CME itself is equally capable of launching perpetual contracts, and therefore its alleged damages are essentially self-inflicted. Previously, CME intended to sue the CFTC over the agency's decision to greenlight Kalshi's bitcoin perpetual contracts.
