BitMEX stated that the board of directors of parent company HDR Global Trading Limited decided to close the exchange after a strategic review. The platform will operate normally until closure, but starting from August 26 at 12:00 (Beijing time), opening new positions will be restricted, and users can only reduce positions. Any remaining positions after the closure time will be forcibly liquidated. KYC users who fail to withdraw assets before the closure time will be charged an account management fee of $50 per month or 1% of the balance, whichever is higher, and the fee may be subject to adjustment.
