The 10-year electricity quota is granted, and strategic digital mining enterprises in Kazakhstan must transfer a portion of their output to the national reserve

Odaily Odaily News: The Government of Kazakhstan has approved the "Rules for the Implementation of Strategic Digital Mining." Enterprises can obtain electricity quotas from energy production organizations at the highest rate for a period of 10 years. As a condition for obtaining the quota, enterprises must transfer a portion of the cryptocurrency from their mining output to the Astana Hub Autonomous Cluster Fund. Subsequently, the relevant assets will be transferred to the National Investment Company under the National Bank for trust management, to be used for replenishing the national strategic cryptocurrency reserve. Operators participating in strategic digital mining must submit applications through the E-licensing database, which will be reviewed and approved by a special committee. If approved, digital miners must sign an agreement with the Astana Hub Autonomous Cluster Fund within five working days and conclude a power purchase and sale contract with the energy production organization.
