Strategy holds 843,775 BTC, Bitcoin reserves can cover 31 years of dividends

Odaily Odaily Planet Daily reported that Strategy's Bitcoin reserves, as calculated by management, can cover 31 years of dividends, while its US dollar reserves can cover 1.8 years of near-term dividend obligations. Chaitanya Jain, head of Strategy's Bitcoin product and investor relations, disclosed the above data on X on July 20.
According to a filing by Strategy with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), as of July 19, its US dollar reserves reached $3.225 billion. The company stated that the reserves are used to pay preferred stock dividends and outstanding debt interest.
Strategy currently holds 843,775 BTC, with a total acquisition cost of approximately $63.69 billion and an average purchase price of $75,476. Between July 13 and 19, the company sold 2.73 million shares of MSTR stock, netting approximately $264 million.
The filing shows that Strategy did not issue preferred stock, conduct any stock buybacks, or purchase Bitcoin during that week. Its most recently disclosed Bitcoin purchase occurred on June 22.
