The statement, released by the Yemeni Armed Forces, took effect immediately upon its issuance. Citing religious scriptures, the statement enumerated Saudi Arabia's comprehensive blockade of Yemen's ports, airports, and land border crossings over nearly twelve years, calling it "without any right or humanitarian justification," causing "unbearable suffering" to the Yemeni people.
