Bitcoin mining company LM Funding America rebrands as PowerCompute, pivoting to AI computing infrastructure business
Odaily reported that Nasdaq-listed Bitcoin mining company LM Funding America announced that it will officially change its name to PowerCompute effective July 22, 2026, aligning with its new strategic direction of transitioning into the AI computing infrastructure sector. Concurrently, its common stock is expected to begin trading on the Nasdaq market under the new ticker symbol "PWCM" at the opening on July 22. The CUSIP number will remain unchanged, and shareholders are not required to take any action in response to the name and ticker change.
The company plans to leverage its existing facility resources and low-cost electricity advantages to provide customers with high-performance computing (HPC) and artificial intelligence (AI) infrastructure services. Currently, the company operates two facilities with a total of 26 megawatts (MW) of low-cost electricity capacity, and it plans to further serve enterprise customers with demand for AI computing power. This rebranding marks LM Funding America's further transition from a traditional crypto mining company to a "computing infrastructure provider," betting on the growth of the AI data center and high-performance computing market.
