On the evening of July 19 local time, after arriving at Joint Base Andrews aboard Air Force One, U.S. President Trump told the media that the U.S. military is carrying out "intense bombing" on Iran to avenge the deaths of three U.S. service members in the Middle East.
Trump reiterated control over the Strait of Hormuz as U.S. forces strike Iran for the ninth consecutive night. Trump again stated, "Iran has suffered extremely heavy blows, and its military power has been almost completely wiped out. They still have some missiles, some drones, and a bit of manufacturing capability, but that's about it. We control the Strait, and they can no longer control anything." (CCTV International News)
