David Sacks: AI Safety Restrictions May Weaken US Model Competitiveness
2026-07-20 00:13
David Sacks, Chairman of the President's Council of Advisors on Science and Technology, posted on platform X that the Kimi K3 model recently completed 15 critical security vulnerability repair tasks, while Codex and Fable refused to process related requests due to "cybersecurity protection mechanisms." He stated that there is no reason to restrict US models from performing these tasks due to safety limitations, while Chinese models can complete them normally. Doing so will only diminish America's own competitiveness.
