The bill originally stipulated that federal financial regulatory agencies should complete the stablecoin rulemaking before the one-year mark, but the relevant rules have not yet been introduced, and the compliance path remains uncertain.
Under the basic framework of US standards, USDT issued by Tether would need to undergo several major adjustments before the rules take effect in order to meet legal requirements.
