韩国财政部：韩国芯片制造商、造船企业在远期市场大量抛售美元

Odaily reported on Tuesday that the South Korean Ministry of Economy and Finance said the country's foreign exchange market conditions are improving as major chip and shipbuilding companies have begun selling large amounts of dollars in the forward market. In a statement, the ministry said: "Based on strong fundamentals such as record trade surpluses, the foreign exchange market is expected to see structural changes in supply and demand conditions in the second half of the year." On Tuesday, the South Korean won rose 0.75% against the U.S. dollar to 1,486.30, its highest level since May 12. (Jin Shi)
