Securitize to List on NYSE Under Ticker SECZ

Odaily Odaily reports that Securitize shares are expected to begin trading on the New York Stock Exchange on Thursday under the ticker SECZ. Securitize is a tokenization company backed by BlackRock, which has assisted BlackRock and other companies in issuing securities on-chain.
Securitize President Brett Redfearn stated that bringing real-world assets on-chain allows investors to control assets in digital form and reduces intermediaries in traditional business processes. Using stock lending as an example, he noted that Robinhood currently retains approximately 85% of the related revenue, while Charles Schwab splits the revenue equally with users.
Redfearn believes that DeFi can offer investors in the tokenized securities ecosystem more ways to utilize their assets, but such growth also depends on development by external developers. Robinhood is expected to launch a new product on Wednesday, which Compass Point analyst Ed Engel previously suggested may include DeFi-compatible tokenized stocks.
