上海静安区检察院破获涉案超2亿元虚拟币非法换汇案，多名涉案人员获刑

Odaily Planet Daily News: The People's Procuratorate of Jing'an District, Shanghai, has initiated a public prosecution against a cross-border virtual currency illegal foreign exchange case involving over 200 million yuan. The principal offender, Li, along with four others, has been sentenced.

Individuals related to the case received prison terms ranging from two years and six months to six years, along with fines ranging from 300,000 yuan to 1.5 million yuan. Additionally, four people were granted a relative non-prosecution decision.

It is reported that the involved company, Company Z, packaged itself through the development of a virtual bank App. Without obtaining a license to operate foreign exchange business, it used virtual currencies to facilitate cross-border asset transfers for domestic clients, charging a 3% exchange service fee.
