以太坊基金会完成对Argot的五年资助，4938枚stETH分两批解锁

Odaily Odaily reports that Argot Collective and the Ethereum Foundation (EF) have jointly announced the full completion of their five-year funding commitment. A total of 4938 stETH will be transferred to a dedicated multi-signature wallet and unlocked in two batches: a portion on July 1, 2026, and the remainder on July 1, 2027.

The funding for the first three years was distributed last year. The disbursement for the remaining two years was delayed due to governance and terms negotiations but has now been fully finalized. These funds will be held in a 2/3 multi-signature escrow jointly managed by Argot, a newly established Fail-Safe Committee, and the Ethereum Foundation. This independent committee will serve as an arbitration body, providing professional opinions on programming languages and compilers to ensure Argot's development independence.

Argot stated that this funding provides substantial operational security for the team, but long-term ecosystem challenges remain: the Ethereum Foundation's capital pool is limited, and public infrastructure like staking, DeFi, and underlying protocols cannot rely on a single funding entity indefinitely. The team will maintain a mechanism of semi-annual transparency reports and roadmap updates.
