Trump "Announces" US-Iran Talks to be Held Tomorrow, Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister Says "Not Yet Arranged"
Odaily Planet Daily News The technical negotiation team responsible for implementing the interim peace agreement between the US and Iran will hold talks in Doha, Qatar, in the coming days. Retaliatory strikes launched by both sides over the weekend once pushed this already fragile ceasefire agreement to the brink of collapse.
A source familiar with the negotiation process added that the mediating parties have established a communication channel for de-escalating unexpected incidents, and technical consultations will continue to move forward. However, Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister Kazem Gharibabadi on Monday sent conflicting signals via Iran's Tasnim News Agency, stating that no technical working group meetings were scheduled for this week and that the Qatar talks have not yet been finalized. He also noted that routine consultations between Iran and Qatar are proceeding as usual, including following up on the verification of both parties' compliance with their commitments under the agreement.
