Odaily reported that after receiving a phone notice from the Trump administration, OpenAI has decided to limit the deployment of GPT-5.6. In an internal memo, OpenAI CEO Sam Altman stated that the company will provide a limited preview of GPT-5.6 to a small number of partners, with customer access to be "approved on a case-by-case basis" by the U.S. federal government.
