美国法官叫停特朗普关于邮寄投票的行政令

2026-06-25 15:11

Odaily Planet Daily News A federal judge in Boston, USA, today blocked the implementation of President Trump's executive order aimed at tightening rules on mail-in voting, preventing the order from taking effect before the November election that will determine control of Congress. U.S. District Judge Indira Talwani sided with the argument put forward by a coalition of Democratic-led states, which claimed that Trump is attempting to illegally interfere with state administration of federal elections.

The judge stated that the president does not have the authority to compile voter rolls for the states, and the U.S. Postal Service also has no statutory authorization to establish binding regulations for mail-in voting. According to the U.S. Constitution, the responsibility for administering federal elections rests with the states. (CCTV)
