Odaily reported that U.S. Senate Republican tax writer Steve Daines stated that the framework for cryptocurrency tax legislation currently being advanced in the Senate is largely complete, and the relevant bill could be released as early as this fall.
Daines said that the framework has "more similarities than differences" compared to the cryptocurrency tax proposal previously released by the U.S. House Ways and Means Committee, and he hopes to hold a relevant legislative markup session within this year to advance the bill's review process.
However, Daines did not disclose specific terms of the bill. (Bloomberg)
