Odaily reported that investment bank Jefferies indicates in its latest report that the upward trend in global memory prices may exceed market expectations, with improvements unlikely until 2028. The report forecasts that memory prices in the third quarter will rise 40% to 50% quarter-over-quarter, and could further increase by 30% to 40% in the fourth quarter, surpassing the market's expected 15% to 20%. The primary driver of the price surge is that clients in the artificial intelligence industry are willing to sign long-term contracts and provide approximately 40% upfront payments.
