An official statement reads: "Ubisoft is deeply saddened to learn of the accidental death of Claude Guillemot, co-founder of the group and Chairman of Guillemot Corp. In this difficult time, we extend our deepest condolences to his family and loved ones. No further statement will be made at this time."
According to reports, Claude Guillemot, 69, died in a plane crash on Friday in La Baule, a resort town on the Atlantic coast of France, where an air show was scheduled to take place this weekend.
