OKX Star: Corporate culture is shaped by long-term results, not by encouraging employees to pursue quick wealth through crypto trading as a career goal
Odaily News: Star, Founder and CEO of OKX, posted on platform X: "OKX's corporate culture has always included principles such as customer first, innovation, pragmatism, openness and transparency, and providing opportunities and resources. A company's culture is not defined by slogans but jointly shaped by its talent, products, values, and long-term results.
To this day, OKX has many veteran colleagues who have been with us for 5 years, or even nearly 10 years, continuously learning and improving. We also have many new colleagues from other industries or competitor companies bringing fresh perspectives and progressive ideas.
Many colleagues with experience at other firms have shared feedback that OKX's overall compensation and long-term incentive levels are higher than those of many competitors. Recently, a colleague from the business team, who joined four years ago and had been entrusting his long-term incentives with the company without cashing them out, received a return worth millions of US dollars upon vesting. We are proud of cases like this.
However, OKX does not encourage employees to set trading cryptocurrencies for quick riches as their career vision. Instead, we advocate a model that combines generous short-term cash incentives with long-term incentives. Some individuals, driven entirely by the desire for instant wealth, cannot accept OKX's internal policies, such as the prohibition on issuing coins, insider trading, and accepting bribes. At the same time, some competitors have offered these individuals attractive conditions, leading them to choose to leave. We also wish these former colleagues well.
We have also seen many cases where individuals who were lured to join competitors by short-term gains quickly lost their value and were cast aside. Every company has its own characteristics. We welcome all forms of legal competition and will strictly crack down on actions that violate the law and professional ethics.
Regardless, we are always proud when former OKX colleagues can continue to showcase their talents at other companies. At the same time, we will continue to create industry-leading compensation, an open and transparent culture, generous incentive mechanisms, and a long-term career platform for our current employees."
