亚马逊撤档Sam Altman“负面”传记电影,投资OpenAI后AI叙事引发敏感调整
Odaily Planet Daily News: Amazon has decided to pull the Sam Altman biopic "Artificial," which was originally slated for release by Amazon MGM Studios and is now nearing completion of production. However, executives in charge of Prime Video and Amazon MGM Studios decided not to proceed with the release after viewing the final cut, and will hand the film over to other distributors to find a release partner.
According to sources, the early script of the film portrayed Sam Altman in a negative light, depicting him as a highly competitive and manipulative figure in certain scenes. Insiders say that as production progressed, the overall tone of the final version became more grim than initially envisioned, which was a key reason behind Amazon's decision to halt the release. Moreover, this adjustment comes after Amazon invested approximately $50 billion in OpenAI, and the business cooperation between the two parties, along with their strategic relationship in the AI field, has placed this film—which involves internal power changes at OpenAI—in a more sensitive position.
