Iran announces new regulations for Strait of Hormuz transit: vessels must submit applications 48 hours in advance

Odaily Odaily reports that Iran's "Persian Gulf Strait Authority" stated that in light of the signing of the Iran-US Memorandum of Understanding and directives from relevant competent authorities, vessels that submit transit applications for the Strait of Hormuz within the announced timeframe, comply with the specified requirements, and meet the relevant conditions will be scheduled for passage. According to the transit requirements, applications for vessel passage must be submitted at least 48 hours before arriving in the Strait of Hormuz area.
