OdailyOdaily reports that Polish President Karol Nawrocki announced in a statement on Thursday that he has vetoed for the third time a bill aimed at regulating cryptocurrencies and implementing EU regulations, citing that the bill failed to incorporate his previous objections. Polish lawmakers passed the crypto regulatory bill in May, which is intended to implement the EU's Markets in Crypto-Assets (MiCA) regulation that Poland must approve before July.
Karol Nawrocki had previously vetoed the relevant bill twice, and stated on Thursday that he supports regulating the industry and protecting consumers, but the government had ignored most of the proposals prepared by his office. If the bill were amended, he would sign it into law. (Reuters)
