6旬大妈冒充20岁少女网恋小伙,骗取20多万投资虚拟币血本无归
Odaily Planet Daily News Recently, the Haidian District Court ruled on a fraud case. Retired senior Meng, addicted to cryptocurrency trading and unwilling to use her own pension funds, posed as "Xiaohong", a young woman in her 20s working at a central ministry, on a short-video platform. She established an online romantic relationship with a young man, claiming that a family member was critically ill and in urgent need of surgery fees, or that she was preparing for overseas exams, to defraud him of over 200,000 yuan.
Meng invested all the defrauded 200,000-plus yuan into cryptocurrency trading and opened 10x leverage. Subsequently, as the market declined, her positions were liquidated, and all funds were completely lost. Previously, the Haidian District Procuratorate had prosecuted Meng for fraud. Ultimately, the Haidian District Court sentenced her to four years in prison and imposed a fine, while also ordering her to compensate the victim's financial losses. (Beijing Evening News)
