Odaily News Following the introduction of centralized rectification measures by regulators, different accounts held by the same investor within the Futu Niu Niu App are displaying drastically different trading statuses. The Futu Securities (Hong Kong) account of an existing domestic investor can no longer execute buy orders, requiring an update of their foreign identity proof. In contrast, the Moomoo account, serviced by a US-licensed institution, can still place orders normally. Furthermore, amid the ongoing regulatory rectification, account application channels for some locally licensed Hong Kong brokers remain open. Some intermediaries are also still soliciting clients on social media platforms by offering cashback rewards and other incentives. (The Paper)
