AI Industry Frontier: Passive Components See Another Price Hike, Leading Stocks Surged 3x in the Past Two Months
Odaily Planet Daily News: Citrini analyst jukan posted on platform X, stating that starting July 1, Murata will increase factory prices of its full range of power inductors by 50%; Taiyo Yuden will uniformly raise spot prices of supply-constrained power inductor models by 150% and increase prices of standard models by 35%.
Note: This round of power inductor price hikes is the latest continuation of the passive component price surge that began in late 2025, which has gradually spread from tantalum capacitors → resistors → MLCCs/ferrite beads to power inductors. Japanese giants (Murata, Taiyo Yuden) have strong pricing power in high-end products, while Taiwanese and mainland manufacturers (such as Yageo, Walsin Technology, Fenghua, Sunlord) have followed up with multiple rounds of increases.
