edgeX has distributed compensation to users affected by the June 2 incident, with maximum compensation per user reaching $100,000
Decentralized derivatives exchange edgeX announced that it has completed the goodwill compensation distribution for users affected by the June 2 incident.
This compensation is aimed at users who incurred realized losses between 4:50 and 6:00 on June 2 due to forced liquidations or stop-loss triggers on EDGE long positions on edgeX Perp V1 or V2. Each eligible user can receive compensation of up to 100,000 USDC equivalent.
The compensation is divided into two parts, with 50% distributed in USDC, which is now available for claim; the remaining 50% will be distributed in EDGE tokens during the first week of April 2027, with the specific amount calculated based on the 7-day TWAP at the time of distribution. edgeX stated that the application window remains open until 14:00 on June 9, and users who fail to complete registration by the deadline will lose their eligibility for compensation.
