Kimi seeks up to $2 billion funding at a $30 billion valuation

Odaily Odaily News: AI startup Moonshot AI is seeking to raise up to $2 billion in a new funding round that would value the company at $30 billion. Moonshot AI has already entered early-stage discussions with potential investors, planning to raise over $1 billion. Meanwhile, the company is close to completing a $2 billion valuation funding round led by Meituan.

As of April, Moonshot AI’s annual recurring revenue has surpassed $200 million, driven by increased demand for the Kimi chatbot and its large language model. Additionally, the company is dismantling its offshore structure to pave the way for an initial public offering in Hong Kong and is planning to establish a joint venture structure to allow foreign capital participation. The company recently launched Kimi Work, a general-purpose AI agent based on its K2.6 series model. (Bloomberg)
