Musk-linked shell company reportedly buys land outside Houston, chip factory may be located there

Odaily reported that a shell company linked to Musk has purchased properties in a rural area outside Houston, Texas in recent weeks, suggesting it may be finalizing the location for a planned $55 billion chip factory, Terafab. The Terafab project, jointly promoted by SpaceX, Tesla, and xAI, aims to provide chip support for AI and robotics projects, with a total investment of up to $119 billion.

Land registration records show the company, named "WIT Tech LLC," has bought at least six plots in Grimes County, totaling over 6,000 acres (equivalent to nearly 10 square miles). The transaction amount has not yet been disclosed. (Jin10)
