Gate officially launches real stock trading services, directly connecting to the U.S. securities market through licensed brokers

Odaily Odaily reports, According to official announcements, Gate, a globally leading digital asset platform, has officially launched its real stock trading service, allowing users to directly use USDT for trading stocks and ETFs in major U.S. securities markets. Currently, Android users can experience the stock trading function after updating the Gate App to the latest version, while iOS users can access the relevant services after updating to version 8.21.5. Unlike the widely discussed models of tokenized stocks or RWA mapping in the current market, Gate's stock service is not an on-chain mapped asset or tokenized derivative. Instead, it connects directly to the real securities market by integrating with compliant brokers holding U.S. Broker-Dealer licenses and clearing qualifications, providing users with real stock trading services.

The broker cooperating with Gate in this initiative is also a member of the Securities Investor Protection Corporation (SIPC), offering corresponding protection for clients' securities assets under certain conditions. This model aims to enhance trading transparency, asset security, and investor protection mechanisms, also reflecting Gate's continuous expansion in its ability to connect with traditional financial markets.
