Odaily星球日报讯 According to Cambodian media reports, 53-year-old Chinese real estate company owner Yang Weixin was kidnapped by three suspects in the parking lot of a Phnom Penh apartment on the evening of May 29.
At 3 a.m. on May 30, the suspects used the victim's phone to send a message to his wife, demanding a $2 million cryptocurrency ransom. The suspects sent a final message at nearly 9 a.m. saying "that's it" before going missing. Police have launched an investigation. (kohsantepheapdaily)
