He noted that before the Treasury Department intervened, the Iranian regime was siphoning off $400 million to $500 million each month and distributing the money among dozens of top officials. "We are working with allies across Europe to seize various villas, homes, and properties," Bessent explained. "And this money was, in fact, stolen from the Iranian people."
