OpenAI Releases Frontier Governance Framework

Odaily reported that OpenAI has released the Frontier Governance Framework, which systematically outlines how its AI safety and governance practices align with emerging regulatory requirements such as the California Frontier AI Transparency Act and the EU General-Purpose AI Code of Practice. Built upon OpenAI’s existing Preparedness Framework, the new framework focuses on areas including cyberattacks, CBRN risks, harmful manipulation, loss of control risks, model reporting, safety incident response, and external expert review. OpenAI also stated that the framework will be continuously updated in response to changes in model capabilities and the regulatory landscape.
