Polymarket team slams Kalshi executive as "idiot" for attacking Polymarket's lack of KYC and calling for shutdown

Odaily, February 12 - Team members from two prediction market platforms clashed on X over KYC issues. The dispute began after Polymarket's VP of Engineering, Josh Stevens, denied that the platform would fully implement KYC. Kalshi's Head of Enforcement, @robertjdenault, cited the relevant post, stating that Polymarket should have enforced KYC long ago. He claimed that Russians and Iranians are freely trading on the platform, and insiders are also using it without restriction. If Polymarket truly wants to prevent this, he argued, they should either bring all operations into compliance (starting with KYC) or shut down.
In response, Polymarket official Mustafa lashed out under the post, calling the Kalshi executive an "idiot."
