Odaily reported that the State Council Information Office held a series of press conferences themed "Getting Off to a Good Start for the 'Fifteenth Five-Year Plan'" to brief on the progress of "Comprehensively Advancing the Rule of Law."
Liu Guixiang, a deputy-level full-time member of the Judicial Committee of the Supreme People's Court and a Senior Grade II Grand Justice, stated that the Supreme People's Court will conduct in-depth research on adjudication rules for new types of cases, including those involving virtual currencies and cross-border finance. It will also expedite the formulation of judicial interpretations on civil compensation related to insider trading and market manipulation, in order to ensure the stable operation of the capital market and protect the legitimate rights and interests of small and medium-sized investors.
Furthermore, he stated that in response to new business forms in the digital economy, the Supreme People's Court will formulate normative documents on judicial protection for cases involving artificial intelligence and data property rights, thereby improving adjudication rules concerning data ownership, data transactions, and AI-generated content.
