Bank of America Held Nearly $53 Million in Crypto ETFs in Q1, Increased IBIT Holdings and Significantly Reduced Ethereum ETF Positions
According to Bank of America's latest Q1 13F filing, the total size of its cryptocurrency ETFs and related concept stocks held in the first quarter approached $53 million.
BlackRock's IBIT was its largest single crypto ETF holding, valued at approximately $37 million, with a total of 972,590 shares—an increase from 719,008 shares in the previous quarter. The Bitwise position was valued at roughly $7.98 million, the Grayscale Mini Trust at about $3.32 million, and the Fidelity position at approximately $1.71 million. Additionally, the bank held small allocations in Grayscale GBTC, VanEck HODL, and Ark 21Shares products.
Meanwhile, it significantly reduced its Ethereum ETF holdings, now retaining only 67,492 shares of the BlackRock Ethereum ETF, with a total value of about $1.06 million, and cut its Solana ETF exposure. The XRP ETF position remained unchanged, with the bank still holding 13,000 shares of the Volatility Shares XRP ETF. At the same time, Bank of America also held approximately 3.96 million shares of MicroStrategy, valued at around $660 million.
