Sources: Qatari negotiators arrive in Tehran to help facilitate a US-Iran agreement

According to a source familiar with the matter who spoke to Reuters on Friday, a Qatari negotiating delegation arrived in Tehran on Friday in coordination with the United States, aiming to help facilitate an agreement to end the war between the US and Iran and resolve outstanding issues. Doha has previously served as a mediator in the Gaza war and other international tensions, but until now has avoided playing a mediating role in the Iran conflict after being targeted by Iranian missile and drone strikes in recent hostilities.
